Senior Legal Counsel 

ESTO Estonia (ESTO AS), a subsidiary of ESTO Group, is looking for an active, dedicated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel. ESTO Estonia is the largest creditor and one of the fastest growing fintech companies in Estonia and is a fully licensed consumer credit company and operates under the license of the Financial Supervision Authority.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assuring compliance with local consumer credit laws and guidelines.
• Taking care of official communication with supervisory authorities (e.g. Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority, Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority etc.). 
• Management of all civil and criminal proceedings (filing claims, compiling answers, running legal analysis etc.).
• Assuring compliance with all internal rules (creditworthiness assessment, AML, GDPR, consumer complaints, information security etc).
• Assuring compliance of all consumer agreements and cooperation agreements.
• Supporting management with all necessary analysis and company register procedures (Employment contracts and disputes falling under Estonian jurisdiction; Taking part in all unified ESTO legal projects; Undertaking all other necessary legal assignments).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master or equivalent in law
• Working experience at least 4 years
• Having native/bilingual proficiency in Estonian language
• Full working proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently, follow deadlines, and effectively manage time
• Sufficient awareness of Baltic and European regulatory requirements related to banking and financial services in general
